SaltStack Enterprise AIX Module Support
AIX is considered an Enterprise Operating System for SaltStack. This means that we have invested in specialized developer skills and hardware to ensure that AIX modules are properly built using AIX best practices and compliant with AIX requirements.
Salt Open Source provides a rich and robust ecosystem of modules for the more broadly used and free Operating Systems like Linux. We are constantly improving and enhancing the available modules for AIX.
This document outlines the known modules that are needed to gain parity between AIX and the community supported Operating Systems.
AIX downloads are available on the Downloads page of the SaltStack Enterprise Installation and Upgrade Guide.
The following items have been identified as missing from the AIX module list. As of this writing, SaltStack has committed to progressively and opportunistically develop and deliver the following functions in pending point-releases and feature-releases of SaltStack Enterprise.
